How to Start a Side Hustle (Washoe)
June 7, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm PDT
FreeHave you always wanted to start a small business but figured it would take too much time or be too risky? Are you worried that starting a business costs too much money? We have a suggestion for you. How about taking some of your skills or your hobby and turning it into an income generating operation to earn a little extra spending money?
The IDRS Acorn Project presents a one-day training on how to start a Side Hustle. A Side Hustle is a job or business that brings in extra money beyond one’s main time requirement whether that be a job, being in school, or even being a stay-at-home parent. How to Start a Side Hustle teaches how to set up a new income stream with your existing talents, skills, and capital.
How to Start a Side Hustle not only teaches the basic skills of becoming an entrepreneur, but it also teaches basic business and goal setting skills that will also assist you in your roles as students and employees. Each participant who completes the Side Hustle program will walk away with a workbook that includes all the processes taught during this program that will result in a completed business plan that can be launched shortly after the in-person classroom time.
The IDRS Acorn Project, in partnership with the Washoe Native TANF Program, will present How to Start a Side Hustle on June 7th from 9 am to 4 pm. The workshop will be located at the Washoe TANF Headquarters at 1248 Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville. Registration is open to all Washoe community members and the workshop is free to attend.
