How to Start a Side Hustle (Fallon)

October 18 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm PDT

Free
Native entrepreneur

Have you always wanted to start a small business but figured it would take too much time or be too risky?  Are you worried that starting a business costs too much money?  We have a suggestion for you.  How about taking some of your skills or your hobby and turning it into an income generating operation to earn a little extra spending money?

The IDRS Acorn Project presents a one-day training on how to start a Side Hustle.  A Side Hustle is a job or business that brings in extra money beyond one’s main time requirement whether that be a job, being in school, or even being a stay-at-home parent.  How to Start a Side Hustle teaches how to set up a new income stream with your existing talents, skills, and capital.

How to Start a Side Hustle not only teaches the basic skills of becoming an entrepreneur, but it also teaches basic business and goal setting skills that will also assist you in your roles as students and employees. Each participant who completes the Side Hustle program will walk away with a workbook that includes all the processes taught during this program that will result in a completed business plan that can be launched shortly after the in-person classroom time.

The IDRS Acorn Project, in partnership with the Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribe, will present How to Start a Side Hustle on Tuesday, October 18th. 2022 from 9 am to 4 pm.  Registration is open to all Fallon community members and the workshop is free to attend.  To register please click on the “Going” button below and fill in your information.

The workshop will be located at the Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribe Council Chambers at 565 Rio Vista Drive in Fallon.

For more information, please contact the community host, Melanie McFalls, Tax & TERO Administrator, at 775-423-6075 or at taxdirector@fpst.org.   You can also reach out to Mark Thompson, Executive Director, at the IDRS Acorn Project at 916-482-5800 or at mark@indiandispute.com.
