How To Set The Price For What You Grow and Sell

August 5, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm MST

You may have heard that there are four P’s to marketing your product. One of those important P’s is pricing. But setting the right price can sometimes be really difficult to do. Do you have a good strategy to price your product? Do you have the right price? How do you know?

In this webinar, Mark Thompson from the IDRS’ Acorn Project, will cover various approaches to pricing what you sell and how to make sure your price covers your costs but stays competitive with other sellers in your market. Then Susan Sekaquaptewa, UA Tribal Extension Agent and experienced market farmer, will share her experience selling produce direct to customers at farmers markets on and off rez. She’ll discuss cultural considerations around selling food for Indigenous people and the practical aspects of pricing things you grow.

This is the third workshop in the Ag Recordkeeping Series.

This webinar is only open to the Diné College farmer cohort.  The workshop will take place on Thursday, August 5th at 4:00 pm Mountain.  This workshop will be delivered online utilizing the Zoom platform. The workshop can be taken on computers and smartphones.

This webinar is sponsored, in part, by the USDA Rural Development, Diné College, and Tolani Lake Enterprises.
