Overview

This two-hour workshop is designed to support Native business owners and entrepreneurs in finding balance between the demands of running a business and prioritizing their well-being. The session will introduce culturally aligned wellness practices that promote mental clarity, emotional regulation, and physical vitality—helping participants reconnect to themselves and their purpose.

Recognizing that entrepreneurship can be overwhelming and all-consuming, this workshop blends traditional wellness approaches with modern stress-reduction strategies to guide participants toward more grounded, intentional, and holistic business leadership.

Many Native entrepreneurs carry deep responsibilities—not just to grow their business, but to serve their people, uplift community, and protect cultural lifeways. But the journey of entrepreneurship often brings long hours, financial strain, and burnout. By weaving in traditional practices—like breathwork, movement, quiet reflection, and storytelling through writing—entrepreneurs can:

  • Strengthen their resilience and inner balance
  • Sharpen focus and reconnect with their “why”
  • Stay rooted in cultural teachings and spiritual wellness
  • Lead from a place of integrity and clarity
  • Model healthy, sustainable leadership for family and community

This workshop offers a respectful, welcoming space to slow down, reflect, and re-center using practices aligned with Indigenous worldviews of holistic health and balance.

This workshop are made possible through support from the Small Business Administration, USDA Rural Development, the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, and the Elevate Initiative.
