The IDRS Acorn Project is seeking knowledgeable and experienced presenters to conduct
engaging webinars and virtual classes on small business topics via Zoom. If you have a strong
background in operating a small business or consulting with small business owners, we want to
hear from you!

Webinar Compensation
Our standard rate of pay is $500 per webinar.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  1. Extensive experience in small business operations or consulting.
  2. A deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Native
    entrepreneurs and rural communities.
  3. Passion for teaching and supporting Native-owned businesses in achieving their goals.

Once approved, presenters are asked to provide the following

1. Webinar Outline and Agenda (due 6 weeks prior to webinar date)

  • Topic and Objectives: Provide a title, detailed outline of the topic, objectives, and key
    takeaways for the audience. Please provide the IDRS staff with the presentation a week
    before the scheduled webinar.
  • Session Flow: Provide an agenda, including time allocations for introductions, main
    content sections, Q&A, and closing.
  • Interactivity Plan: Interactivity with participants is strongly encouraged. Specify interactive elements, such as polls, breakout sessions, or chat discussions. Poll questions must be sumitted with the presentation materials.

2. Pre-Event Marketing and Promotions (due 6 weeks prior to webinar date)

  • Bio and Headshot: A professional bio and headshot is needed for promotional materials.
  • Media Release:
    Submit the media release form for using the presenter’s image, voice,
    and content for promotional and educational purposes.

3. Presentation Materials (Due 2 weeks prior to webinar date)

  • Slide Deck: A PowerPoint or PDF presentation that includes the main
    points, visuals, and supporting content using the IDRS webinar template.
  • Handouts: Provide relevant handouts in PDF format when you send
    the presentation. Staff will distribute the handouts to registrants before or after the
    session..

4. Technical Setup and Requirements

  • Platform Familiarization: Plan to meet with staff to do a test session at least 3 days
    prior to the webinar.
  • Ensure you have a stable Internet connection.
  • A webcam is required so the presenter can be on camera during the presentation.

4. Invoicing Guidelines

  • Send an invoice and W9 form to mark@idrsinc.org after
    webinar services have been delivered. IDRS payment term is net 45 days once the
    invoice is received.
