Etsy Uplift Makers Indigenous Cohort Info Session
Are you an artisan or craftsperson with a thriving offline business but struggling to replicate that success online? Perhaps you’ve been selling on platforms like Facebook but haven’t fully tapped into the potential of a broader online marketplace.
The IDRS Acorn Project and the Nest Artisan Guild are collaborating to launch a special program to help Native artists and makers expand their markets and increase their income by selling on Etsy. This cohort will be guided by IDRS Acorn Project staff Lynn Wilson and MaryBeth Timothy, two Native makers who have achieved significant success and business growth through online sales.
Participants selected for this three-month program will receive numerous benefits to help them launch a successful Etsy business and gain visibility as part of the Etsy Uplift Makers initiative. This program, created by Etsy, seeks to provide greater economic opportunities to creative entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities. Benefits include personalized assistance with setting up your store, graphic design, copywriting, training, grant funding for photography and supplies, social media promotion through Nest and the IDRS Acorn Project, and featuring your work on the Uplift Makers page of the Etsy website.
